The previously reported bout with Michel Martinez will be joined on the Karate Combat show by a matchup featuring Martinez’s fellow Combate Global star Harry Gomez
Undefeated Michel “La Furia” Martinez (0-0 Karate Combat, 3-0 MMA) will be joined by fellow Combate Global competitor Harry “El Cuervo” Gomez (0-0 Karate Combat, 11-2 MMA) on the Karate Combat fight card in Miami on Thursday, Dec. 19.
The 22-year-old Gomez, who hails from Santa Elena, Ecuador, will square off with Jakub “Superjoke” Wayman (0-0 Karate Combat, 2-0 MMA) in a 135 pound/61 kilogram matchup.
The fight will be Gomez’s first of 2024. In his last bout, which took place at the Combate Global-Matchmaker co-promoted event in Bogota, Colombiá on November 17, 2023, Gomez lost a unanimous decision to Juan Pablo Mendoza.

To date, Gomez has notched 8 of his 11 professional wins by way of either (T)KO or submission.
Undefeated as an amateur, Gomez also got off to a spectacular start as a professional, winning his first 10 fights on the regional circuit.
Wayman, a 22-year-old American, will also compete for the first time in 2024 after winning his second straight MMA bout on January 27, 2023.
Martinez, as previously reported by Fajador.co, will battle Oussama Assli (1-0 Karate Combat, 0-0 MMA) in a 165 pound/75 kilogram fight.
The 35-year-old Martinez is coming off a stellar, 28-second knockout of Jose Antonio Ibáñez on November 23.
Thus far, Martinez has earned all of his MMA victories by knockout within two rounds of action.
Both Martinez’s and Gomez’s fights will be contested as three-round fights, with each round being three minutes in duration, the standard format for Karate Combat bouts that are non-title fights.
