A Celebration of Combat Sports Excellence
The 20th Anniversary WKA/FUJIMAE Open is set for Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Parque Sports Complex in Illescas, Toledo. Organized by the World Kickboxing & Karate Association (WKA), the world’s oldest combat sports federation, and FUJIMAE, a global martial arts apparel leader, the event promises an action-packed day starting at 8:30 a.m.
The competition will include disciplines such as Point Fight, Kickboxing, K1, Muay Thai, MMA, and Jiu Jitsu. In addition, spectators can enjoy demonstrations of Kobudo, a traditional Japanese martial art, and various martial arts katas..
Unmatched Participation
Over 70 clubs, 450 athletes, and 150 trainers from across Spain will attend, making this one of the country’s largest martial arts events. Fans can expect intense competition and inspiring exhibitions throughout the day.
Antonio Ricobaldi, president of WKA Spain, thanked Illescas’ local government and sports council for their vital support. “Their collaboration has been instrumental in making this anniversary event a reality,” Ricobaldi said. He also emphasized the growing enthusiasm for martial arts in the region.
