UWC Names Salvador Hernández Fighter of the Year 2024
Ultimate Warrior Challenge Mexico (UWC) has officially announced its “Best of 2024” list, and the standout name this year is none other than rookie sensation Salvador Hernández. UWC Names Salvador Hernández Fighter of the Year 2024, a well-deserved honor for the young Mexican talent who made a major impact in the cage with his dominant performances throughout the year. In just his debut year as a professional fighter, Hernández quickly made a name for himself, earning recognition not only for his raw talent but also for his exceptional fighting style. UWC’s decision to award him this prestigious title speaks volumes about his incredible potential in the sport of mixed martial arts, as well as his ability to make an immediate impact in the highly competitive Lightweight division.
Hernández’s remarkable journey to this honor began earlier in 2024, when he entered the UWC cage for the first time and immediately captured the attention of fans and experts alike. His meteoric rise in such a short time proves that Salvador is not just a rising star—he is already a force to be reckoned with. As UWC looks to the future, it’s clear that Salvador Hernández has the drive and determination to continue his ascent in the world of MMA.
A Knockout Debut in the Cage
On April 7, 2024, Salvador Hernández made a thunderous entrance into Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) at “UWC 52: Ramos vs. Sedano” held at Arena Zonkeys. The native of Esqueda, Sonora, wasted no time announcing his arrival, delivering a stunning knockout of Martín Alvarado in just 95 seconds of the first round, showing his determination to dominate in the Lightweight division.
Another Victory at Entram Gym
Just a short time later, Salvador was back in action at UWC 54: Gordillo vs. López, held at Entram Gym. This time, he faced the experienced Héctor “Pantera” Martínez from Nogales, Sonora. The fight didn’t last much longer, as Hernández submitted Martínez with a rear-naked choke at 3:25 minutes of the first round, extending his perfect record to 2-0. A career on the rise was clearly taking shape.
Eyes on 2025: A Rising Star
With a 2024 that only lasted 5 minutes in total, Salvador Hernández is already setting his sights on the future. The young prospect promises to return in 2025 stronger than ever, aiming to climb the ranks in the 155-pound division and potentially fight for the title by the end of the year.
